MEIO

Meio is Portuguese for "half" and is pronounced "mayo", like the condiment. In this simple but clever trick-taking game by Fel Barros and Mauricio Torselli everything revolves around balance: you split your cards into two halves and try to win the same number of tricks in each half.

Tricks from the first half are laid down horizontally, tricks from the second half vertically. If you win more tricks in one half than in the other, you receive points for the difference. The player with the lowest score, and so the most consistent player, wins the game.
