Climb the social ladder, or kick it over. Tax the Rich is a satirical trick-taking game featuring a deck of characters from across the social spectrum, from the poorest citizens to the president, where the highest social ranks are the strongest cards.
Each round begins with a simple bidding phase that determines both the trump colour and the number of tricks needed to score bonus points; the winning bidder must then secure those tricks together with their ally. The twist: if all the cards remaining in your hand carry a flag symbol, you may declare a "revolution" by revealing your hand, flipping the hierarchy upside down so the lowest-ranked cards become the most powerful, though you then play the rest of the round with your cards face up.
The game includes thirteen optional rule cards that give characters profession-based abilities (Workers unionise, Billionaires power grab, Police stop and frisk, Scientists debunk) and an optional feminist revolution variant that boosts the value of all female characters.
