Trickarus

Icarus and his friends have made handmade wings. Day and night, cheering for their newfound freedom, they fly higher and higher... A tricktaking game about flying, turning, and trying not to end up in the hot, hot sun.

With both competitive (2-5 players) and cooperative (3-5 players) modes, players win tricks to soar higher into the air. The winner of each trick advances to the next open space above them on the scoreboard, unless they fly into the sun, in which case they crash to below the lowest-ranked player.

Each card has two different values that alternate—just like the trump suit—when a 5-card suit is played. With rules simple enough to learn in minutes, Trickarus is accessible to players new to trick-taking games, while also offering enough challenge for experienced players to explore different strategies.
